What you need, and what to expect
- A browser on each device
- Safari or Chrome on the phone, Edge, Chrome or Safari on the computer. No Wire Connect runs as a web page on both — there is nothing to install and no account to create.
- A camera, or the 6-character code
- The phone scans the QR code shown on the computer. If scanning is awkward, type the short code into Join a bridge instead — it works the same way.
- Any network, or two different ones
- The devices do not need to share a Wi-Fi network. A phone on mobile data and a laptop on office Ethernet connect just as well.
- Any file type, up to 5 GB each
- PDFs, zips, spreadsheets, audio, installers — No Wire Connect does not restrict formats, and there is no limit on how many files you send in one session.
How it works
The same three steps for every device
Create a bridge on the computer
Open No Wire Connect on your PC or Mac and click Create a bridge. A QR code and a 6-character code appear.
Scan it with the phone
Point the phone's camera at the QR code and tap the link, or type the code into Join a bridge.
Drop files in
Add files from either device. They appear on the other screen in realtime, ready to download.
