What you need, and what to expect
- A browser on each device
- Safari or Chrome on the phone, Edge, Chrome or Safari on the computer. No Wire Connect runs as a web page on both — there is nothing to install and no account to create.
- A camera, or the 6-character code
- The phone scans the QR code shown on the computer. If scanning is awkward, type the short code into Join a bridge instead — it works the same way.
- Any network, or two different ones
- The devices do not need to share a Wi-Fi network. A phone on mobile data and a laptop on office Ethernet connect just as well.
- Full-resolution photos
- Photos arrive exactly as they were taken — no compression or resizing, unlike messaging apps. Multi-select works on both iPhone and Android.
How it works
The same three steps for every device
Create a bridge on the computer
Open No Wire Connect on your PC or Mac and click Create a bridge. A QR code and a 6-character code appear.
Scan it with the phone
Point the phone's camera at the QR code and tap the link, or type the code into Join a bridge.
Drop photos in
Add photos from either device. They appear on the other screen in realtime, ready to download.
